# Get the evidence record (XML)

`GET https://api.parasend.com/v1/deliveries/{id}/evidence/record`

Source: https://parasend.com/docs/api/evidence/record

Authentication: `Authorization: Bearer <API key>` (a `ps_test_` key in test mode, `ps_live_` in live mode).

The evidence record in XML: the authoritative, machine-readable form of the evidence (ETSI EN 319 522-3). The Delivery Certificate at `/evidence/document` is a rendering of it. One document per delivery: the root `ps:EvidenceRecord` in the namespace `urn:parasend:evidence:1` holds the delivery's metadata and one ETSI evidence item for every evidentiary event, in order. Each item is sealed when it is made. Parasend's own data is in non-critical `erds:Extensions`, so a reader that knows only the ETSI schema still reads complete, valid items. The envelope around the items is sealed on request: `sealed=true` seals it (billable, once, then kept); the default `sealed=false` returns the record marked `sealStatus="unsealed"`, at no cost.

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, required): The delivery's ID, starting `dlv_`.

## Query parameters

- `sealed` (boolean, optional): true returns the envelope-sealed record, sealing it on the first such request (billable, once). false, the default, returns the record marked unsealed. Default: `false`.

## Example: Get the evidence record (XML)

```bash
curl "https://api.parasend.com/v1/deliveries/dlv_01M6R27T05512SCV3852TPM2XY/evidence/record" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $PARASEND_KEY"
```

```js
const res = await fetch('https://api.parasend.com/v1/deliveries/dlv_01M6R27T05512SCV3852TPM2XY/evidence/record', {
  method: 'GET',
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.PARASEND_KEY}`,
  },
});
const data = await res.json();
```
