# Files

Document containers — multiple files and folder structures per delivery via the manifest. Content is never scanned or inspected (N4, 23 Sep 2026) — integrity under Art. 44(1)(c) is served by not touching the bytes; the AUP places content at the customer's own risk.

## The File object

- `id` (string, optional): The file's ID, starting `fil_`.
- `object` (string, optional): Always `file`.
- `name` (string, optional): The file's name as uploaded, in Unicode NFC, with any path separator replaced by `_`; at most 255 characters. It is part of the sealed evidence record.
- `bytes` (integer, optional): The file's size in bytes.
- `sha256` (string, optional): The SHA-256 digest of the file's content, as 64 lower-case hexadecimal characters.
- `created` (string · date-time, optional): When it was created, in ISO 8601 (UTC).
